  • What should I bring to my first appointment?
    To ensure a smooth process, please bring: Any relevant medical records or previous imaging (if available). A list of your current medications and any health conditions. Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement and examination.
  • What type of payment do you accept? do you accept health-funds?
    We accept both Cash and Card. We accept on the spot health fund claims. We accept EPC forms from General Practitioners which offset a portion of the cost for up to 5 sessions. We accept patients covered by DVA.
  • How long does a typical appointment take?
    First Appointment: Allow about 40–60 minutes for your initial consultation, medical history review, and exams. Second Appointment: This visit typically takes up to 40 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case and whether treatment begins. Follow Up Appointment: The standard follow up takes 20 minutes Long Consult: This appointment takes up to 40+ mins, typically used in chronic cases for extensive treatment or when a new condition has arisen.
  • Do I need a GP's referral? 
    No, you do not need a referral. We are primary healthcare professionals educated in how to triage Neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, from diagnoses requiring medical intervention. Just give our clinic a call and one of our friendly Chiropractic Assistants will book in your appointment.
  • How do I prepare for my first adjustment?
    Stay relaxed! Your chiropractor will explain everything beforehand, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to ask questions—we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
  • What happens during my first appointment?
    During your first visit to Hayek Chiropractic Care, our priority is to understand your condition and develop a personalised care plan. Here’s what you can expect: Consultation: We'll discuss your symptoms, goals, and concerns in detail to get a complete picture of your health. Extensive Review of Medical History: We’ll review your past medical records, including any relevant treatments or injuries. Examinations: Depending on your condition, we may conduct orthopaedic and neurological tests to evaluate your spine, joints, and nervous system. Referral for Imaging: If required, we will refer you for X-rays or other imaging studies to get a clearer picture of your spine and overall musculoskeletal health. This comprehensive evaluation helps us create a customised treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
  • Will I receive treatment during my first visit?
    In most cases, your first visit focuses on gathering information and conducting necessary tests. If there are no prior imaging results, treatment may be deferred until we have reviewed new imaging to ensure accuracy and safety. Your customised treatment plan will be outlined after this initial assessment.
  • What happens during my second appointment?
    Your second visit is when we: Review Imaging Results: We will go over your X-rays or other imaging studies to explain our findings in detail. Begin Treatment: If appropriate, you’ll receive your first adjustment or treatment session. Discuss Your Long-Term Plan: We’ll outline a strategy to address your current issues and transition toward long-term wellness. This plan may include gradually increasing the time between appointments as your condition improves, with the ultimate goal of reaching a maintenance and monitoring phase.
